Marking the beginning of the summer and the conclusion of another academic year, a great opportunity appeared to collaborate with the Athenian branch of the Scientific Society of Hellenic Medical Students. This time, the event at hand was their 10th Basic Laparoscopic Skills Traning Seminar (B.LA.ST). It took place on June 2-3, 2024, at the AKISA Building of the Attikon University General Hospital.

Thus, we were thrilled to be able to support once more medical students in practising surgical procedures and improving their laparoscopic skills by experimenting with a variety of laparoscopic training modules of different levels of difficulty. This hands-on seminar allowed students to uncover the benefits of laparoscopic training while developing essential skills in minimally invasive surgery. From handling laparoscopic instruments to mastering basic suturing and knot-tying techniques, trainees were under the guidance of experienced surgeons while using our laparoscopic surgery training box.

In a nutshell, the experience was fruitful. Our BoxLap team was content to help the students explore their clinical surgery capabilities with our user-friendly laparoscopic surgery training box. The students participating in the event enjoyed the learnings and challenges offered by the training sessions.
