Between May 24 and 26, 2024, the 30th Greek Scientific Conference of Medical Students was organised by the Scientific Society of Hellenic Medical Students in Heraklion, Crete. The event occurred in two places: the School of Medicine at the University of Crete and the University General Hospital of Heraklion. The BoxLap laparoscopic trainers were present throughout the three-day conference as part of the E.S.F.I.E. workshop and in collaboration with Ethicon (Johnson & Johnson Surgical Technologies).

To the BoxLap team, our presence there was a fantastic venture. Medical students got to experience hands-on training with our laparoscopic surgery training boxes and exercise fundamental skills in minimally invasive surgery, prompting precision and confidence in laparoscopic techniques. More specifically, Boxlap’s involvement emphasised its commitment to advancing surgical education through innovative tools and training solutions. To achieve that, the BoxLap system includes different laparoscopic training modules, contributing to a highly practical learning experience for the next generation of medical professionals in clinical surgery.

We hope that our laparoscopic surgery training boxes will participate in the next conference. This way, we’ll once again be able to help prospective surgeons achieve medical excellence while empowering the future of healthcare overall.
